lets say you have the various clips set to no quantization, how do you keep them in time, while in the arranger view and recording your performance??

i'm sorry if I'm misunderstanding you, but...

Quantization IS the mechanism by which you keep clips in time!

If you don't use quantization, all of your clips will be fired at whatever time the sequencer thinks you pressed the button. If you're working with any kind of beat whatsoever, this is liable to sound horrible.

Quantization is mostly used in the performance view. In the Arranger view, Live is designed to keep clips in time automatically using its bpm-stretching algorithm.

Get specific. What exactly is your problem?

hi, and thanks for responding.

I'm in the arranger view.
I'm recording my realtime clip performances (tapping the keys with my hands)
I just want to make sure that my clips stay in time.
