expensive.
I am interested to find out if cpu usage is low enough. one of the bad things about Ozone 3 and one of the brilliant things about Reason's mastering effects which I consider the best yet in software.

been using trackplug for my basic insert EQ/Compression for over a year now, great results, great interface, easy to use, wicked low CPU.
this one has most of the features the last one was missing and looks like it only improved on everything else. CPU usage about the same.
honestly if i had to choose among all my plugins for the most essential, cant do without ones, this would be in the top 3. i know there are more than a few other people on this forum that feel the same way ...
ps. the compressor unit with the built in graph handles that let you visually set the compression is totally worth the price of admission by itself
pss. ozone is a mastering plug, totally different uses, this is a basic everyday channel strip plug for production

cpu
CPU usage is so nice and low on these Wave Arts plug-ins. I thought they were great, although I ended up going with plug-ins from PSP and Elemental Audio, although they do eat up a bit more CPU. Shouldn't matter soon because I am going to get a new computer!
Probably from Dell.

I am fine with my tools too. although I miss Reason's effects on audio when using Live.
i'm liking the new compression types.
gonna wait till URS releases their new Compressors as AU before i decide.
i'm fine on EQs (in fact i think track plug EQ sounds more like Ableton's EQ4 than any other plug-in), what i really need is a great software compressor. I like this one so far, but something tells me the URS 1970 will kick some major ass.

I use Audio Damage plugins. I can recommend these.

wait, you were actually considering trying to take them away ... hahaha ...raapie wrote:oh, that sounds serious.

look, stealing software is wrong but if you're going to do it thats probably not the best way

did you test this one: http://www.sonalksis.com/index.php?section_id=315... lovely...AdamJay wrote:what i really need is a great software compressor.
By the way.. I bought Trackplug 2 month ago... no way I'm gonna pay $60 to upgrade a "channel strip"... absurd... but looks great.....
yea, i really like the Sonalksis 315 but man does it eat some CPU. (9-11% per instance on my G4 1.5ghz). then again thats cause i like driving the limiter, and that will add to the CPU.ernene wrote:did you test this one: http://www.sonalksis.com/index.php?section_id=315... lovely...AdamJay wrote:what i really need is a great software compressor.

i'll take another look at it
Yeah, the Sonalksis compressor is the nicest sounding software unit I've heard so far. Their eq rocks as well.ernene wrote:did you test this one: http://www.sonalksis.com/index.php?section_id=315... lovely...AdamJay wrote:what i really need is a great software compressor.
