Good turntables for sampling vinyl into live5?

Post by William » Wed Oct 19, 2005 5:44 am

I need a decent turntable to sample some of my records with. Are there any w/ a good internal preamp + digital outs? I know there's a ton of reviews on these things but I'd figure I'd try to get some live user direction first. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I hear the Stanton STR8-100 has both a preamp and digital outs.

If recording records is all you're going to do then the Stanton is probably fine.

For anything else.....Technics or the high-end Vestax are the only way to go........

Check out the Pro-Ject Debut Phono Mk III SB.
Comes with cartridge and built in pre-amp. About £160.

Thanks for your recommendations. I just missed the Pro-ject debut on ebay.. Maybe I'll buy it new. Any others?
