As a guitarist, I want to be able to play guitar along with Live. Thus, I thought a nifty workaround to keep my hands free for strummin' would be to pick up an old MIDI pedalboard controller, and map the switches to different master tracks.
Has anyone tried mapping a midi controller that is not a new, fancy dedicated controller (such as Oxygen or Houston or somesuch) to LIVE?
thx
steve

yeah,
did it with the self-built midibox 64 (www.ucapps.de); worked fine. (also added some foot buttons just by replacing "normal" ones - mainly for switching & engaging scenes). hands free for saxophone
i guess as long as a controller sends out control values and buttons send out note on - note off messages, things can be used for live.
good luck,
jan
