session vs arranger view

Post by Guest » Mon Mar 10, 2003 6:16 pm

Hi!

I start my song in arranged mode.
But I will improvise and switch to session view.
No Prob!
After improvisation-part I will turn back to my arranged music.
Is it possible to move to a certain point in my arranged part?
While switching to session-view LIVE is playing the composed song further, but I want to get in the song at a different point.

Is this possible??
Many thanks for any advice!

As far as I can tell, no you can't asLive is more oriented the other way around : playing in session, recording/editing in arranger,

However you could do following :

Drop first your clips in session [provided you need them for the improvisation - if you drop them first in arranger mode they won't show up in session]
Compose in arranger
Resample the arranger composition to an empty session slot
Delete the arrangercomposition
Play the resampled sessionclip in sessionview
Go crazy ...

If you need to cut in on acertain place in the original arrangement , you can insert another copy of the resampled clip with a different startmarker
