has anyone got some feedback about the sempron processors?

i used to have an athlon64, but the MB got f*cked up, so i'm looking for a new lappy. i liked my presario (the keyboard was quite convenient and the mouse pad as well). so i think i'll stay on this.
i found a presario with a sempron 3200+ at 800€ (512MB of RAM). i'd like to know if it will be better or worse compared to my A64 3000+.
then the final question: i think they both have the same socket (754), will it be ok to swap the processors? will i get my performance back?

any feedback MOST welcome, i have to take a decision quickly.

If you check the Live 5 Performance test, you'll see that the Pentium M's are kickin ass!!!

The are performing great against all the others!!

sempron is like AMD's version of celeron-m... not suitable for demanding audio tasks.

Sempron is OK. It has the same core and fantastic triple FPU engine as Athlon64 but less kB of cache...BUT cache is not so important in case of Athlons. My friend has Sempron 3100+ notebook and his performance is the same as my Athlon64/3000+ (26% CPU in Live 5 performance test). Sempron is no problem...much better than CeleronM and comparable to PentiumM:)
