MoogerFooger any good?
MoogerFooger any good?
I'm looking for an analog filter to process digital generated sounds to 'add some analog warmth' to it. Anybody knows how the MoogerFooger filters sound? The price is pretty steep imho.
Yes, I was also looking at the Sherman (version 2), but find it a bit expensive..Komplex wrote:the sherman filterbank, version one is well priced these days, it is well worth the money!
but its not as simple as the moogerfooger so be warned if your new to this sort of thing...
Maybe check out a 2nd hand version 1...
@yekker: I want something analog in this case, Live handles the digital side well enough.
Maybe I breadboard something myself

I used to have the lowpass filter and the 12-stage phasor Moogerfoogers. Fatassed warmth!!!!!!!!!!!! Based on reviews comparing the Frostwave and Moogerfooger, everyone says the Moogerfoogers are warmer and fatter sounding in general. Nothing wrong with that though because I love Mr. Oizo's sound(he uses an MS-20). I sold all of really nice pedals to finance Reaktor 3 and a keyboard controller. I miss them, but I don't miss fiddling around with chords, power supplies, noise, and all of the other pains that hardware brings.
Apologies!Machinate wrote:I was comparing the ms-20 to the moog - both analogue. And the reaktor comment was a joke... hence the wink.
And the MS-20 has a lovely highpass aswell, I use a Filtered Coffee (analogue solutions) it is bad-ass!!
Would love a Moogerfooger aswell, but I have too many toys as it is ... or maybe there is no such thing
