Abl live + powercore virus.

Post by twinstates » Mon Nov 14, 2005 12:44 pm

Can someone who uses both please tell me how to get more than one of the 4 working? I have go the poco unlimited licence but seem not to be able to send midi on more than one channel, if i send to one say midi chanel 1 then i can't seem to get chanel 2 to work. I also seem to be having the same problem with stylus rmx as well. . . .

many thanks to anyone who can offer help / a solution. . .

Cheers

have you tried creating another audio track and routing the virus's second outputs to that?

I dont think virus plays all its parts out of the same output=track.

make sure you set the new track to monitor 'in' not 'auto'

ahhh,

that's probably where i was having problems. Can you explain in a little more detail how I would do that? Do I have to config the virus or the ableton tracks?

many many thanks, I think you have given me the answer here. .

assuming you already have virus loaded on a midi track,

just create a new audio track,

bring up the in/out bit, and set its input to whatever the track with virus is called.

now in the sub menu below that you should be able to select which virus output you want to use.

set its monitor status to 'in'

also create a new midi track to play the second part with obviously, and route it's output to the virus track, which then lets you access the other parts in the sub menu again.

Done!
