I've really been a big fan of dan bell's stuff, particularly after he moved to Berlin. I've also really enjoyed some of the recent work by superpitcher, josh wink, alex smoke, and the other big names. Magda and Richie are also good listening, but I think some of their stuff is a bit "too" minimal and slightly overrated... I don't want to fall asleep in the club, dammit!

Also, I don't mean to "namedrop" here, but I gathered that you are in the market for names. :) So, if you want some good livesets, check out some of these links (you might have to be a livesets member to read these, so just register cos it's free):

Superpitcher and Ada & Dj Koze @ Kompakt Label Night Groningen 25-09-2004
La Place Au Soleil - Live @ Badeschiff, Berlin GER - 27 Aug 2005
attoBelmonde ft. Ton D. & Dj Andaloop @U-Freqs Labelnight Rote Sonne Munich 23.09.05 (4hours) <-- this one rocks!
dominik eulberg - live at big city beats big fm-cable-21-05-2005 <-- another great dj, but he seems to play the same tracks each time he performs

Also, check out the forums at mnml.nl. They've got a lot of good netlabel releases there, and some good liveset links too. Happy hunting. :)

Another vote here for Trentemoller. He's the most amazing artist I've come across this year. Go to Beatport.com and check out the samples - including Physical Fraction and Minimal Fox. His production blows me away 8O

No, no! Richie Hawtin just moved to Berlin because of the strength of the minimal techno scene. I don't remember which way it goes but he is either originally from Detroit or Canada. He had some passport issues and got stuck in one of the two places for a couple years.

basically, minimal techno in Berlin is blowing up at the moment.. tons of good stuff around.. what exactly are you looking for? Mixes or producers, labels? I would also say go to www.mnml.nl and find tons and tons of goodies in there..

If you fancy hearing any of my mixes you can get them at:

www.shadimegallaa.com/mixes

most of the mixes on there are from my Vibrant Sounds show on Proton Radio..

Enjoy.. 8)

Richie Hawtin's from Canada.

Another vote for Trente Moller. Check out his track "sunstroke". Another vote for modeselektor also.

Check out Alex Under, Steve Bug, Louderbach, Rosaire Argyle, Traffic Signs, FALSE, Troy Pierce, Marc Houle, Run Stop Restore (and any of the m-nus stuff), Pheek, Mossa.....

Not all Berlin and not all minimal, but its all good.
