how to assign velocity from midi keyboard to track volume of ableton ?

wchich controller is that ?

i think you should try downloading a demo of Plogue Bidule. Using MidiYoke(PC) or MidiPipe(MAC), you can route your midi controller through that into Live and extract the velocity and do wonderful things with it.
