Again: NI Spektral Delay and Live = Not Love?

Post by conny » Thu Nov 24, 2005 10:51 pm

Spektral Delay works for me in Bidule but not in Live 5.
I get absolutely no effect out of it, the audio just slips by...

Someone have another opinion?

hey man, I don't have spektral delay, so I can't say from experience, but I was just over at the N.I. forum and took a quick look in the SD page. There was someone who posted a problem with live not recognizing the vst, but there were two replies saying SD works fine with Live 5.

Your best bet is to post in the Spectral Delay forum at N.I. I'm sure someone will be able to sort you out.

cheers,

Yeah, thanks.
The SD thread seems quite dead overthere, though.

It's 1.5.7, yes.

I'm just a guy with bad luck...

In the SD UI, I see the out spectrum is different from in, but the original sound comes out nevertheless.

I love Rektor but think S'Delay is rather overated myself (ie: I don't own it - I get damn good delays in the NI user library anyway).

Do yourself a favour and download Ephonic's "Retro Delay"
It's far more simplistic but sure as hell yields similar results with rock solid stabiliry in LIVE .

Down the page in the FX section possibly the best Freeware delay I own.

ok i tested it and it was strange -
tried SD as a midi instrument AND as an audio track FX - it allowed both - and i got what u talked about. but on a return it worked correctly. strange, but true.

try it on a return and see.

Eh? Hehe, Fax, I don't think you realize the madness that can be spewn from Spektral Delay... And you'd be hard pressed to find anything like it out there. http://www.nativeinstruments.de/index.p ... lsounds_us

No luck in return track either.
But today I discovered a strange diference between the SD in Bidule and in Live.
In Live the dry/wet dial is GONE!

And then, suddenly with no other change at all, it starts to work in both return and track!

It's going nuts...

And shit. it does some really amazing things to a drum track right now
