Live + Bidule = Amazing

Post by conny » Sun Dec 11, 2005 1:33 am

Sorry to be such an apostle...

But just fired up Bidule as an VST in Live in an audio track, checked that there was a PlogueBiduleVST in arrangement as target and I chosed Param001 in sub dropdown and drew some curves.
In Bidule I could easilly assign the curve's data to Bidule's mixer pan...

I'm really like this concept.

Conny, could you detail a bit more what bidule, as a VSTi, allows you to do more easily, does it allow anything that Live can't do ?

Thanks !

And can anybody tell me.....
If you load a Live clip with a plogue vst in. Will it load and create virtual midi-ports when you drag it in a track?

You're on Mac, right?
Can't say but the clips do keep Bidules Midi Yoke in/outs on PC, as far as I can tell.

As VSTi my mind first goes to any kind of midi routings and manipulation inside Bidule.
Remapping CC's, remapping channels, filtering midi, using conditional gates for midi etc, midi delay... Low level stuff.

yeah. On mac you get 4 virtual midi ports when you load bidule. If it does that with the vst too. Then i'm in. I'm buying bidule finally.
Thats like the holy grail of envelope sequencing.

Yeah. Thats why i would use it.
I would make live clips that are presets for various midi mayhem.

Hoff, you could always ask on the Bidule forum, I'm sure the developers will answer.
