Version of Live to use on 867mhz PB os 10.2.8

I'd like to run Live in conjunction with Absynth on my trusty old Powerbook and was somewhat put off by the performance specs of Live 5? I've spent a good 40 minutes scanning the forum for discussions of Live 4 performance, and I haven't found anything. Thanks for any suggestions

Live 5 runs fine on my 867MHz PB, certainly no worse than Live 4. You just need to make sure you don't go overboard on plug-ins. Using 'complex' mode for warping clips also eats up your CPU pretty quick, but using the other warp-modes you'll be fine.

Also, don't forget you can always freeze CPU intensive tracks in Live 5...

If you bump up to to 10.3, you'll also notice a considerable performance boost. I've noticed that every version of OSX (with the possible exception of 10.4) has been smoother than the last on old machines.

I have 5 running on a 867 PB 12.

OSX 10.3.9. It's a little underpowered compared with my similar 1.33 esp. when in complex warp mode but it works ok.

Live 5 also runs fine on my machine and 10.4.3. Go ahead!
