Post by Mike Goodwin » Tue Dec 20, 2005 8:39 pm

looking at buying more stuff off beatport and was wondering what others are using with live. Can we even use MP4 with live?

Any thoughts?

I think you should look at this as how much data has been discarded.

From my experience, a 192kbps MP4 is superior to a 192kbps MP3. With a 320kbps MP3 however, vs a 192kbps MP4, MP3 wins hands down.

MP4's/AAC seem to have the advantage with lower bitrates.

While MP4 is a technically superior encoding system, if it came to picking between 192kbps MP4's or 320kbps MP3's, i'd choose the MP3.

Ya, there is absolutely no comparison or argument with this question. Qaulity is quality and there is a world of difference between those two.
