Re: major malfunction...
I'm about to try it as I've been meaning to get around to it, but I've been told it has no random features which is going to turn off my people that want a glitch osx port. personally I feel the glitch randomization is often more of a crutch than a benefit but thats just me.piZMo wrote:...has anyone tried this? i've never tried dblues glitch but been playin with the demo for this and am probably gonna get it... just $10!

It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

dblue has already said that it's not gonna happen unless I just daydreamed that. I believe that whatever coding language he used to make it is extremely hard if not impossible to port.
although I did hear that he intends on making a glitch 2 which would be both mac and pc but I heard that like a year ago and I don't think there is any mention of it on his site as of yet, so maybe that was just a rumor...

Re: major malfunction...
It *does* have a random feature, just not the probability stuff that dblue's has... Maybe in a future version (though I've got plans for new effects that will likely take precedence).Johnisfaster wrote:I'm about to try it as I've been meaning to get around to it, but I've been told it has no random features which is going to turn off my people that want a glitch osx port. personally I feel the glitch randomization is often more of a crutch than a benefit but thats just me.piZMo wrote:...has anyone tried this? i've never tried dblues glitch but been playin with the demo for this and am probably gonna get it... just $10!

how about this...
http://rekkerd.org/shuriken-releases-kerrstinn-vst/
Shuriken has released Kerrstinn, a freeware slicer, glitcher and loop dissector VST plug-in.
Kerrstinn changes your loops randomly with both moving slices of it around and or applying effects to the slices according to rules that we call generators. It is sort of an automatic controllable recallable loop slicer.
Features
* Random: initial value for randomising
* Slices: controls the amount of slices (i.e. 4, 8 or 16)
* Bisyness: controls the amount of randomisation (low value is less random)
* Bars: lets you set the amount of bars a loop has (max =
* Generator: determines how the loops will be treated/sliced/glitched/dissected

For all you folks willing to pay for a Mac version of Glitch, can you let me know what features you'd like that are in Glitch, but not currently in Major Malfunction?
I'm obviously not going to make a total clone because I have my own ideas about what I thing MM needs right now (and also I have too much respect for dblue), but if there's a big demand for a specific feature I'd consider it...
