Is there a PDF or printed manual yet for Live 2?...

Or even any third party books on Live 2? The included HTML manual is OK, but it would be nice to have something a little more in depth. Thanks!

When you buy Live 2.0-- it comes with a little manual. Talk to your dealer, cause you should have gotten one. With the purchase, i also got a "sound-library" card. Nice.

Contact Ableton direct, as a registered user you can buy a Live 2 manual for $20 or thereabouts. Read mine on the train innit, lotsa goodies in there!

muthafunka,

How long did it take to reach you? Also, who did you contact at Ableton? I emailed about this, but never received a reply. Is the printed manual any different from the HTML one?

Thanks

Far as I know the printed version's the same, couldn't sit and read that much html to find out! You should be able to sort s'thing out through your dealer but might have to arrange it with Ableton depending on your location...think I just used the info@ address, just keep trying, long as they're busy working on Live I don't mind if they take a little while to sort things out ;)

The main-content is the same, but the last pages of the book contains some extras (i.e. troubleshooting, rewire, midi-stuff), but not much.
Still--i like having a printed manual next to me while using Live. It's easier than re-sizing all the time.

I have just installed Live and find that the PDF manual cannot be printed. Why is this? I have unlocked it and I should now be able to print a copy. Shouldn't I?

Best,
Gordon

The Live PDF Manual is not optimized for printing.
It has been optimized for the computer screen.
If you were able to print the PDF it would look quite bad.
We did not want people to print the PDF and get angry
because it is unreadable, and caused them to waste
many natural (paper) and unnatural (ink cartridges) resources .
If you have bought Live 2 and have the manual, it is almost
the same as the 2.1 manual. The only real differences are in
the Unlock section.

Live 2 Manual

I purchased Ableton Live 2 Power, written by Dave Hill and published by Muska & Lipman. I found it at Barnes & Noble.

Ableton has reviewed the material in this book and has 'officially approved' it.

It answers every question I've ever had about Live 2.

When does the Live 3 Power come?? :) I know the 2 just hit the shelves, but with 3 there should be a lot new insight to share about Live.

Anyone know if a follow up is planned?
