Hey. I'm a student at Iowa State University (of science and technology). I'm a vocal education major with a very, very heavy emphasis in electronic music (obviously). I'm kind of maxed out with the program at this point. My music tech professor is great, but I'm running out courses. I'm on Independent Study number six, having studied everything from Reaktor to DIY MIDI to synth design and electronic performance. Does anyone know of any programs for more advanced stuff like this? I've looked a little online- Julliard and NYU don't offer specific programs, only a few courses, and I don't think I'd benefit much from programs like Full Sail (?). Any sage advice?
PS- This March the Society for Electo-Acoustic Music in the United States (SEAMUS) will be holding it's annual national convention at Iowa State. There will be a large number of electro-acoustic performers and composers, as well as two premieres by Mario Davidovsky. So if you're in the area....
