how to combine sets?

Post by artvandelay » Sat May 10, 2003 5:42 pm

Hi,

I have created several sets in live to use for a performance.
I just realized that of course there is a delay while loading the next set, thus ruining the flow of the set. I am dismayed to find that there doesn't seem to be any way to import one set into another, so as to put all my clips in 1 file that I would play. I have to play for 1 hour, so I don't want to have to keep stopping and starting..any ideas? This seems pretty lame.

Thanks

ok, it's copy, then open the other file and paste scenes.

in my group, we have several different varieties of looping gear: i've got Live and an Electrix Repeater, my drummer has a Digital Echoplex. we havent gigged with this stuff yet, but we can record sorta non-rhythmical loops and play those while we're loading.

another option might be to have a bunch of sound files in a directory, ambient-type stuff, or voices or whatever, and just use the QuickTime preview or something (dont know about PCs, but it's built right into OS X).

have fun with it!
