New timestretch technology

Post by djsynchro » Tue Feb 07, 2006 6:40 pm

Zplane technologies
http://www.zplane.de
make the "elastique" timestretching software that is at the heart of Ableton Live.

They have new SDKs: Formant preserving strech & transpose, pitch detection & morph to another scale/harmony generation.

They have downloadable software demos. I would like to have all this stuff in Live 6. Please?

zplane is whats used in FLStudio. It sounds fantastic.

So Live 6 will have elastique pro and aufTakt 2 I guess, as this 2 new versions where just released after the release of Live 5.

I'm hoping it will have the elastique soloist which can detect pitch & scale & morph it to another one including formant correction, for generating harmonies or just mangling stuff...

I had a quick listen, and I thought the zplane stuff sounds better. Cool shit if you're a programmer though... Open source rocks!

It's that monophonic formant-correcting melody-morphing one that I want, I can already think of quite a few things I'd like to do with it.
