Regards,
Rahlo and i used his Traveller for demo's at the Ableton booth at NAMM a couple months ago. There were no issues with the traveller whatsoever. We got very low latency (128 samples) which was imperative for his vocals during the demonstrations.
We crammed 8 hours of demos into 4 days (2 one-hour demos per day), and being that these were demos for folks who were unfamiliar with Live, we put Live (5.0.3 at the time) through its paces and the traveller never fell behind.
You should know that www.blacklionaudio.com does a modifcation for the Traveller. it costs $235.
While the digital componentry in the converters is the same as Apogee and RME, the analog components that go into the filtering that make great converts fantastic is great for the price. But not high-end level (let me reitterate, you probably won't find better for your money) But for $235 more you can bring it up to Apogee level in terms of a/d-d/a conversion, and in the end this is much less than soundcards/converters of this quality. Just something to think about.
I believe Kid Beyond tours with a Traveller as his sole interface as well.
good luck!

As long as you use it with mac......
I originally tried it on windows and it just F&^%$%ED my system up! Then, if dig deep into the faq's, it says don't use it with sp2.
I still had troubles with sp1.............
BUT....with the new macintel I have had zero issues so far.......of course that figures

Sorry for the dumb questions, but I'm new to Live 5.0 and so far I've used only with my laptop built-in audio device... From what I've seen that MOTU Traveller has mono outputs. My question is, is Live 5.0 able to route a stereo channel to 2 mono outputs in MOTU? Can it route 2 mono inputs to a stere channel?
Regards,

a. I don't think your questions are stupid, they are definatly fair questions.
b. I am really sorry that it seems like I hijacked the thread for awhile, I am really happy to hear that some pc users are happy with the traveler.
c. So there is no further confusion, I am currently on a macintel with NO traveler issues of yet.
