RIP Doru Malaia

Post by smutek » Wed Mar 15, 2006 8:24 pm

One of Doru's friends posted on reasonstation that Doru has passed away.

His contributions not ony benefitted the reason community and the music community, but humanity as a whole. Selfless, giving, hardworking people like Doru are always needed in our world.

Hats off, respect, and rest in peace Doru Malaia.

Erm, you're late dude, he went a while ago.
Then again what does it matter, nice of you to post about it!

Yeah, I thought about that after I posted, but like you said, I still thought it would be a nice sentiment.

How long ago did he die, the post on RS is 1 week old I believe. I knew he was sick, but that was the first I heard about his passing.

My best guess by this post is that it was around feb 12th. Sad to have such a giving person not be able to be with us or make samples any more.

you totally missed what he tried to say.

if you float about a few other online communities you would have heard of Doru's sad turn of fate a while back already.

First and foremost, let's leave the negativity out of this thread PLEASE. Who found this data first is irrelevant. And if someone is having a bad day, it could be because he is personally tied to Doru somehow. So please, let's all chill out and pay Doru and each other some respect. Death can bring out some angry emotions, so let's all just relax.

A very good person has passed away, someone that many musicians owe a lot to. I personally have used his free samples often. When I found out about his cancer, I was very sad indeed, especially after having lost my mother in law to cancer last year. I did not know he had passed away more than a month ago, so I appreciate the information. I hope the rest of you will dignify Doru by discussing how he impacted you and NOT by talking about who found out he died first.
