'new' stuff on heaviest rotation:

burial
see mi yah remixes - rhythm and sound
smile - beach boys
pop ambient 2006/7
rekid - made in menorca
northern - taylor deupree

all artsy-fartsy...i listened to a lot of zeppelin and old metal too.

(funny when i check my ipod's '25 most played', actually...not what i would typically tell people is the stuff i listen to)

Not 5, sorry but anyway:

Jazzanova: Inbetween and The Remixes 2000-2005
These guys produce some of the most musical grooves I have heard in years.
Intelligent + great production.

Rhythm and Sound:
I believe these guys are also from Berlin – very spacey dub style reggae with an electronic edge, usually with Jamaican vocalists. Latest fave is the See Mi Yah remixes CD.

Björk: Vespertine
Yeh, like many others here, I agree it is great album – maybe her most integrated.

Radiohead: Kid A
I didn’t connect with Radiohead’s music until I heard this………I have liked their electronic developments ever since.

Issa Bagayogo: Timbuktu
He mixes technoid grooves with traditional Malian instruments.

Tom Zé: Jogos do Amar
A Brazilian ahead of the curve; fantastic arrangements, crazy home made instruments – like one made of car horns played by a keyboard, for example. This is a 2 CD set – the second one is full of clips from the main CD for people to make up tracks/remixes with.

Congotronics 2 (Buzz and Rumble from the Jungle)
Love the Lo-Fi amplified mbiras and other home made shit – these guys fucking rock.

Autolux - Future Perfect
Beautiful Lo-Fi sound. Amazing drummer, and one of the guitarists used to be in Failure.

!!! - Louden Up Now
Perfect music for getting drunk and naked, and dancing with hipster bitches all night.

DJ Hell - NY Muscle
Dirty ass fucking techno. This is the dirtiest and darkest electronic music ever, in my opinion.

Broken Social Scene - You Forgot It In People
Attractive, thought provoking music. Very thick too!

Lake Trout - Another One Lost
Melancholy in that way that you crave to be driving way too fast down a dark road.
