A WUXGA screen is an option on some Dell computers (not sure about that particular model - but I know it is available on the Latitude D820 for an extra $150). This screen has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels on a 15.4" screen. Can any Mac beat that?studio615 wrote:Sorry, but if you want to compare machines, you should try to compare models that are of comparable quality. The XPS is a higher-end Dell, the ibook is an entry-level mac. Of course they are going to be different. Compare the macbook pro 15" to the xps and then let me know how much of a difference you have. The 15.4" macbook pro is 1440 by 900 native. In my book, that beats out the dell.
The 1280 x 800 pixels screen is the standard screen - not the upgraded one.
There is also one that's inbetween with a WSXGA+ screen that has resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels. This is what I currently have - and it makes a huge difference over my old computer that had a standard resolution.
