I tried reading the other thread but your all talking about how many quarters in a year so I refuse to read twaddle.

Does anyone have an idea or can they speculate as to the arrival or announcement of Live 6 as Im struggling desperately with Live 5.

there is no straight answer
all ableton have said is what quarter to expect it
hence all the talk over what months each quarter falls on

you're a little naive to expect any more from the general public.
if you've got a problem with that, take it up with ableton - not the forum community.

What are you expecting from Live 6 that will solve your problems?

Why doesn't everyone just get on and make the best of what they've got? 6 will come when it comes.

maybe because there are some obvious features that are still missing in Live5?
maybe because we all expect better performance?
maybe because some of us are excited about what new stuff ableton will come up with...

if you don't like dreaming, that's you're problem man. but please let other people do (and by the way, i haven't stopped working on Live5 because 6 was supposed to be announced earlier this month).

now, as for other ppl complaining about OT threads, if you're tired about *all* the 6 talk, just skip the threads mentionng Live6 in the title.

i suppose they are happy with what they have. why should they crave for 6 if 5 does the job.

i'm sorry if i was too rude. i just don't like the attitude of "5 doesn't work - i need more features to make my music sparkle", as if 6 will be the miracle that turns anyone into a great musician.

But I'd rather spend my time working with and learning how to make the best of what I've got than moaning about what I haven't...

to get back on topic: there should definitely be something for summer namm. whether it's the announcement, the start of the beta testing, or the final release i don't know... but there SHOULD be something happening by july 14.

I'd rather spend my time doing both! rather, I do both. I learn how to best use what I have, and moan about when 6 will come out etc.

I dont care when live 6 comes out, so long as they dont expect me to beta test it AFTER I paid for it
