This is the first internetforum I´m attending to and sometimes I wonder in which case it is appropriate to "pm" someone?
Just in case of direct invitation?

I'd say as long as you'r not wanting to sell anything or spamming a site, then it should be fine with most people.

Anyways, people have abused PMing in the past, but as long as you're not being uncool I think PMing is rad.
