Converting a file will require a new .asd?

Post by Rx » Sun Aug 10, 2003 6:30 pm

Yo Ableton,

Just curious about something: I'd like to archive my waves as .ape files to save space, but I noticed that if I convert a wave to .ape and back to wave, the old .asd file is useless. Is that due to the conversion process?

.ape is a lossless compression format for those who don't know - check out www.monkeysaudio.com for more info.
