New to Ableton but now ;P

Hello everybody, new to the forum and i'm glad to join the party that going down here :=).

I have a question for anyone that could inform me. I have been using Ableton for a while now but i don't explore that often maybe i'm to affraid, but i would like to know if Ableton posses an Internal Drum Machine like reasons Re-Drum or a Plug-in of the sort?

I am using the 5.2 version of Ableton, will be upgrading to 6.

its called impulse.. it should be in your instruments folder next to simpler

Yeah i know i need to get exploring. Am i better off buying a Akai pad or something of the sort for impulse? Is it easy to use without a drum pad?

Just get your midis in their however you can.

I have a korg PadKontrol - VERY NICE UNIT - yet I still go ghetto and bang out drums on the computer keyboard every now and then

... for that "2005" sound...
mbp 2.66, osx 10.6.8, 8GB ram.
