Recommend me a laptop!

Im about 70% set on buying a macbook pro, i just want to know if there is any other beastly laptops i should check out first. give me your opinion you crazy tech heads. thanks!!

well if you want to save a few bucks there is the macbook. smaller screen but a beauty. got mine going to an external 20' screen which I bought for much less than the price difference of mb and mbp.

sounds cool,does it run as smooth as the mbp tho? is the only difference the graphics card and back lighted keyboard?

Buy a macbookpro .. but not quite yet.
The new ones with the latest intel chips will be coming out soonish.
I would not buy a new computer until they arrive (Unless they have already?)
Even then I would wait if you can.
Basically if you can hold on, hold on as long as possible.

(There will be a bigger power gap between macbook and macbookpro)

Thats my advice.

MacBook Pro... or a Toshiba Tecra M7 Tablet PC. I have the M4 (one step below) and I love it. The M7 has Core Duo processors.

If you can wait 'til August, Intel will be releasing the Core2 Duo laptop processors.

Of course, there's always something better and faster around the corner....

Probably only for the MB Pro's though...
