How about using a midi joystick to navigate instead of using a mouse? Could it be done? That is - asign the midi joystick to control your cursor (up, down, left, right) and assign 2 midi keys to left/right click?
Possible? Is there a peice of software that can accomplish this?

You can do it with Live and a MIDI joystick. Just use the joystick in Mackie Control mode

I do exactly this using a program called "Joystick 2 Mouse", you can assign a number of key combinations to different buttons for doing quick things like copy/pasting envelopes. It looks heaps cooler live than using a mouse too hehe
