Dancetracks has "live-ready" files (!)

Post by dsmini » Wed Sep 27, 2006 5:05 pm

Hey all - I'm not sure how I missed this yesterday but Dancetracks Digital is offering "Live Ready" files in conjunction with Ableton.

Hopefully this isn't old news at this point...

Joe.

Better off warping them yourself for all the time it takes once you get the hang of it....I always find my first beat......right click...warp from here (straight).....then go to the end of the track and warp backwards....works sweet for me....takes about 1min..... :D

I have no problem warping myself, but was impressed with the Silicone Soul download and its ASD files from dancetracks digital. I buy quite a bit of music from their site as they have the best variety of content I think, not just prog for leccy house but all the nu jazz, broken beat stuff too, so I welcome any assistance with warping. More time to play.

Nice. Whats the connection with the hotel in NYC though ?

Looks like dancetracks-digital has added some more Liveready tracks. The Sleepy Hollow EP is wiKKed good.

ahhhhhh, the marcy hotel.

have a look at the hotel page. it's really just the spot they used to have after hours parties at. not an actual hotel. however it is the only place i stay in town. have a look at the map of surrounding points of interest for a laugh.

Thats great!

Though when doing the same with un-even audio there becomes hundreds of warping points you have to delete one by one! What do you do then?

That takes a bit more time ! I downloaded the demo on DTD and the warping was great, but then again they were all pretty similar tracks.

Why not distribute (or sell!) JUST the .asd files???

You buy the full-range CD, extract it to your computer's hard drive in iTunes with the names from the Gracenote CDDB internet database, and then just drag the 10 or so .asd files into the same folder as the extracted audio tracks.

Artists could post .asd files on their website to marry up with their CDs.

Or someone could just start up a huge communal net-based resource to share .asd's.

(If anyone makes a million dollars off this - you owe me big time!)
