Hi DB
long time since we last talked... you know life can get quite busy when... well when your busy.. how's life there in ATL? too cold here, with all the snow we got, buts its gone today.
Anyway, try this place:
http://www.radgametools.com/
and DL Bink and Smacker. Both are video codec software. I've been using Bink for a while now. And its FREE!!! It works well too, somwtime only problem I have with it is that depending on the video, it won't convert the sound source file along with the video. IF and when that happens, I just do separate conversions, one video then one for the audio of that video.
I also use Movie Edit Pro 10 by magix. It cheap and Pro 11 is out now. It works out great.... Just a few weeks ago, I chopped up Ghost in the Shell: Solid Snake Society(AKA GITS: 3rd GIG) and convert from avi to wma and some other format. I'd used some clips from the movie to make a AMV using Pro 10, turn out well.
I also suggest getting Vegas. Great DVW(digital Video Workstation). Thou Vegas can be abit on the pricey side, but thats for the Professional version. There is the "Vegas Movie Studio=DVD that you can buy around 60-95bucks. Check out CompUSA for deals for this software... you might be able to get for free or for half the price(rebates).
Plus you can go to: http://www.sonymediasoftware.com/
you can try out all the Vegas software for a 30-day trial.
btw.... Vegas and Vegas Studio are to of the same except that "Vegas" is the production Suite. Id used it before and loved it... just don't have enough cash to get. It very easy to use.
Anyway, most definitely DL Bink/Smacker 1st and try it out. If it work, you dont need to spend any cash for those video authoring software till you reall need it.

I tried Bink but I don't see how you can import it since Live doesn't seem to accept .bik files. I love radgametools and their codec is awesome, so it would be nice, but I don't see how.HypoxiAnoxiA wrote: Anyway, try this place:
