OT Jack Bauer uses Dell

Post by brightonalex » Mon Oct 30, 2006 12:52 pm

Watching 24 yesterday I noticed that the squares in CTU have Dell laptops, but the baddies had Alienware.

I don't know whether any of them are ableton users however.

Hahah! :D

They use iMacs on Spooks - although they use some software that was created for the show and looks cliched and non-osx.

What i really hate is when you see some live music performance on a TV show or film, and they are clearly not playing the instrument. There must be a director out there who can say .. 'Cut! Cut! Cut! ... Look do some research and play the double bass like you're a real musician! You're supposed to be an actor damnit!'

ah the great story of the fall of Mac from paradise.

Mac is a euphemism for "man" and the biblical prophecies are in fact all about the struggle of "mac" against the 10 horned microsoft beast with barcodes on his forehead

Dell bought Alienware recently, so it's nothing more than product placement.

I've made far too many bad jokes about too many things that one shouldn't really joke about, to worry too much about being damned by my choice of computer platform.

Maybe it's worth doing a remix of Iron Maiden's "Children of the damned" and substituting the word "children" with "computers". I can hear it now....glitchy version of course, wouldn't want to veer too far from hunching laptop jockey stylee.

Hmmmm.....strokey beardy.

CTU also uses live to launch their field agents into dangerous situations.
each scene is comprised of different combative clips used to fight terrorists.
the arranger view is for charting out complete operational plans and automating defensive tactics against nuclear threats.

Live CTU edition 6.0 now supporting double agents!
no prevailing genre of music:
