What are the best notes for trance?
Ya know, this is what I don't like about this forum...you get some jackaninny on here thinks he's got the whole world figured out cuz he figured out to use F for drums and G for harmony, he goes around filling kids heads with this crazy shit, and the truth is he hasn't even been around long enough to know why you dont use F for drums and G for harmony!

Actually, I wouldn't go over 40 at all. Anything over a total of 40 notes is so pre 2005. These days, all the big name producers are using a maximum of 40 notes.EvilEvilEvilEvilEvil wrote:what is the best plugin for playing harmony?

To keep it really fresh, I would stay under 37 total notes. And if you're going to hit a black note, it's best sandwiched between two F's, not an F and a G like you did there in your example.
With this knowledge you should be signed within at least three weeks.
Cheers,
keep up the good work!

but...but...42 is the answer to everything...how can he possibly get signed without using at least 42?glitchrock-buddha wrote:Actually, I wouldn't go over 40 at all. I already have way over 42 notes. i took some of the Fs out and replaced them with some Es and the black note next to the E so now it's like this
E E E E E black note next to e E E E Eblack note next to e
E E E E E E E E E E E E EE black note next to e
E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E black note next to e black note next to e
E E E E E E E E E E E EE E E E E E E E E E E E EE E E E E E E E E E E E EE E E E E E E E E E E E EE E E E E E E E E E E E EE E E E E E E E E E E E EE black note next TO E E E E E E E E black note next to e E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E black note next to e E E E E E black note next to e black note next to e E E E E E E E E E black note next to e E E E E E E E E E E E E EE E E E E E E EE E E black note next to e black note next to e E E E E E E E E E E E EE E E E E E E E E E E E EE E E E E E E E E E E E EE E E E E E E E E E E E EE E E E E E E E E E E E EE E E E E E E E E E E E EE black note next TO E E E E E E E E black note next to e E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E E black note next to e E E E E E black note next to e black note next to e
As you can see, I've been really busy.
using the 2 different notes gives this trance a real something special. that black note makes it extra special. Should I use harmony or the envelope too? also, i used a filter on one midi note to make it stand out.

Personally, I don't think anybody should ever answer another one of Evils posts until he gets rid of the freaking Fabio wannabe picture in his sig

Be careful not to push too far! It’s starting to sound like you are getting dangerously close to PET (Progressive Experimental Trance) in which case, you may be alienating all but the avant-garde Trance listeners.EvilEvilEvilEvilEvil wrote:i'm proud to be one of the few that are really pushing the limits on what this software can do!
Just a thought..
