this kind of thing should get a sticky. i would have been all over this if

a) the standard weren't so damn high (jesus, guys!) and
b) i'd known about it

- it's a shame that anything in the general forum gets buried unless there's two pages of posts every twelve hours because everyone wants to argue over macs vs pcs or something.

awesome work all round. kudos to lo-fi massahkah for the idea.

Good work, everybody!

It's always fascinating to see how different people fashion the same set of working materials. My vote goes to Pale1's Fallout. I love what you can do with Live, but I liked this piece because it sounds less "typical" of what you'd expect from a piece done in Live.

I also liked Contra's Untitled. (You can never go wrong with some funk, even if it's electro-blip funk.)

How about making the time limit 2 mins next time out, Massahkah? There was barely time for these pieces to get started. Would love to have heard more.
What it is (for Now): (2) Lenovo Dual Core desktops, Edirol PCR-800, Sonar 8.5 PE, Live 8 w/Operator and Sampler, the unloved PT 8, Kontakt 4, Battery 3, GPO 4, mulititudinous plugs and libraries, much unused hardware. And... silence; much silence.

Nice work all entries.
I voted for Pale1. Chilled, well produced, has a introspective feel about it.

All the contributions are really good.
Lots of melody and groove + great sounds and techniques to be studied.

I like the 1 minute restriction as it will inspire others to grab the set and continue remixing should they fell like it.
Also its a great excersize in restraint -keep it simple. And mixing, "mastering" and deliver your project in time. Which could be interesting for newbies (if they knew this thread excisted 8O )

Heads up for Lo-fi for hosting.

Metajack great tune!

People!!! there are a lot of good free racks, simpler/sampler impulse presets here. Go get them while you can.

Lets try to keep this one on top for the rest of the day.

Now there was something about firecrackers ehh? :D
