Is it possible in Session view to make midi recordings in the same way as in arrange view?
What I want is for any midi clips being recorded to be the same length as the loop set in the arrange view, and for the midi notes recorded in to replace the previous recorded notes post cursor. When I press stop I want any of the notes ahead of the cursor to stay as they were from the previos pass and all pre-cursor to be replace by what I have just played.
At the moment, when I record midi in session view, it stretches the recording out over the entire length of the record time and not cycle and replace if you know what I mean.
Hope this is clear!
One last question, when in the arrange view and you are cycle replace recording midi, is it possible to stop notes from the previous pass being played when the cursor hits them?
