Hi all.
Software version: Live 3.04
Computer: IBM r40 1.5 gHz centrino laptop w. 256 megs of ram.
Soundcard: M-Audio Firewire 410
Driver: 5.10
Sample- and bitrate: 44100 / 24
BufferSize: 128 samples (5 ms out+ 3 ms in = 8ms of latency)
Idle: 2-3 percent
Max: 7 percent
Same specs but:
Sample- and bitrate: 96000 / 24
BufferSize: 128 samples (now 3 ms out + 1 ms in = 4 ms of latency)
Idle: 6 percent
Max: 17 percent
I get roughly the same percentages on asio4all, but not the same level of stability
Does anyone here work with live in 96khz? Because this test assured me, that I need some pretty persuasive arguments to do it

Power Book Pismo G3 500Mhz vs. iMac G4 800 Mhz
Live 4.0b3 vs. Live 3.0.4
Make of computer: Apple Power Book G3 500Mhz "Pismo"
Operating system: OS X 10.3.4
CPU Speed: 500Mhz G3
Soundcard: Internal
Result for test 1: 1% (Live 4.0b3) 10%(Live 3.0.4)
Result for test 2: 38%(Live 4.0b3) 45% (Live 3.0.4)
Make of computer: Apple iMac G4 800Mhz (Flat Panel)
Operating system: OS X 10.3.4
CPU Speed: 800 Mhz G4
Soundcard: Internal
Result for test 1: 7% (Live 4.0b3) 11%(Live 3.0.4)
Result for test 2: 39% (Live 4.0b3) 42%(Live 3.0.4)
The buffersize is 256 in out latency 6+6=12
As you can see PowerBook G3 500 performs on pair or even better
when idle than iMac G4 800Mhz ...strange.
Seems that Beta 4 performs better on G3 than on G4...
what do you think?
