laptop - 5400 rpm OS - 7200 rpm audio sufficient?

your opinions on how important it is to have a 7200 rpm drive for the os as well as a 7200rpm external audio drive?
i will definitely get an external 7200rpm drive where all the audio files, projects, etc will reside.
the question is whether having a 5400rpm drive internally in the laptop will be a major limitation compared to getting a 7200rpm internally?
