does anyone know if the liquid mix at least has an emulation of the stereo buss compressor ofthe SSL?
thas all im really interested in truly from the ssl plugins.
if u check out the "liquid mix assets" pdf file it has all the emulations listed on there.
as for the SSL emulations here is what i found on there:
Mix Buss/Brit Classic Buss- Based on an SSL FX G384 stereo comp
Brit Desk 2/Brit Classice Desk 2- Based on an SSL 4000 g+ console comp
Brit Desk 3/ Brit Modern Desk 1- Based on an SSL 510 (5000 series) dynamic module
there is also the EQs but im too lazy to list em right now, lol.

these r from the remix website:
A dry drum loop begins this sample. Later, it's treated by the Liquid Mix's 60s Class A Buss Compressor (PYE 84 4060 response) and API 559 EQ. That's followed by the 70s Class A Buss Compressor (Neve 2254 response) and an Avalon 2055 EQ. Note the wide open airiness with the slower reaction times of the PYE compressor and the API EQ bands, which gave a nice warm rock tone to the kick and snare and high-end sizzle.

A dry full mix begins this example before the Liquid Mix's Manley SLAM is applied. This demonstrates a ‘radio ready’ type preset on the highly aggressive, classic SLAM unit. Extreme limiting and compression.

Well if ur lucky enought to have a guitar center near u, ask them if they have a GCpro devision @ that store. If they have a GCpro then they probably have those products set up in-store so u can play around with them your self. I think the waves SSL plugs have a 10day demo off the site. Its a thought....or wait till mid-febuary and I'll cook up some decent audio examples with my wonderful new liquid....along with all the other new crap im planning on buying.

Hmmmm
Well funny enough, I work at a music store and I just did a mix twice, once with the Waves SSL plugins, and then again with the Liquid mix.
They both rock, but I'm buying the Liquid Mix in January. The Waves plugs definitely have that 'glue' factor going on while the Liquid Mix (v1.5 impulses) are far cleaner and don't glue the mix together as well.
Bummer because I'd love it if the Liquid mix could have more of that Waves SSL sound. But in my opinion there is no contest. For almost the same price the Liquid Mix does WAAAAAY more and provides the DSP to boot. I'm sold, and I can't wait to get mine. My faves are the VT-737, Focusrite Red 7, Neve, and SSL models.
Perhaps focusrite should release emulations of the Waves SSL bundle! haha.
my 2 cents
I will try to post the 2 mixes to my dot mac account soon, but the Liquid mix is a bit too crisp for my liking. It wouldn't be a 1:1 comparison, as they are different mixes... but you might get an idea of the qualities of each. Waves = glue factor and smooth. Liquid = pristine quality... might be able to get that glue going on in more experienced hands.
