Bottom end needs attention
Who feels their bottom end could use some attention? How would you about acheiving this?
couldnt resist! sorry.
layer up some bass.
start with a sub, then stick something a bit more grittier on top (cutting out the freqs the sub populates). can be as simple as this, or keep going, add another one on top cutting out the freqs on thje layers below. EQ and compress them. add some saturation/distortion, try some chorus - experiment!
i learned alot of things about bass from posts on this forum

I try to layer bass up normally, starting with the lead bass sound, then dropping in some sub. Sometimes I might then drop the lead bass back on again but EQ it differently to the first. Take a classic Reese for example where its 2 layers of bass with the second slightly detuned.
There is a Reese maker rack floating around the interweb somewhere that I find very useful. Not sure if it was linked from this forum or what I just can't remember. Possibly it was from the convert operators site??
