Headphones

Post by Caymus Cab » Tue Feb 06, 2007 6:52 pm

I'm looking to get some headphone's for sound design, any suggestions? I have neighbors who arent to thrilled late at night, and would like to see what headphones are available that will "somewhat" accuratley produce what I'm programming so they sound "somewhat" the same when played thru speakers.

Thanks!

Look no further than beyerdynamic: http://www.beyerdynamic.com/cms/Broadca ... .html?&L=1

Industry standard headphones from pilots to sound engieneers, if i could afford some, i would. My mate has the dt250's which he uses for djing and they kick ass!

EDIT: if you delve into the website you'll find some 'reference' heaqdphones, dt250's dont really give a truesound effect that your looking for.

Sony MDR-7509 - reference headphones, great sound + expensive but you get an exploded view chart of the thing showing how you can disassemble it for repairs.

I really love my AKG 240 Studio. Excellent linear sound.
Very good Frequency response. I've paid about 120€ for them.
