I think he's talking about the synth that has one or more oscillator in it that helps to produce waveforms in the air, a phenomenon we often call "sound".

i just rememberd... its a modular synth and you can just drag n drop stuff into other stuff
and there are these wierd buttons on the buttons.
and when you point your mouse on objects this help pop up pops up

or maybe fabfilter twin?
