No audio inputs on my G4?

Post by RecoDesign » Sat Feb 17, 2007 3:38 am

What kinda crap is that? I though Macs were supposed to be a gift from God. I was gonna hook one of my turntables up to record some samples only to find out that my G4 has no audio input. Im sure some of you have had this problem. What can I do cheaply to overcome this big let-down?

you could try playing your record through your speakers and recording into the built-in mic on your P-book for that coveted lo-fi sound.

there was a short period in mac history when the computers came without audio inputs (stupid I know) - they have them again now, but it looks like you one of the unlucky ones....you can buy this to give you an audio input

you can find it cheap if you look around..
Can you hear it?

Open up the top casing where the mic is, and remove it. Then add some breakout cables in the case, and attach some RCA connectors. Bingo! You will probably have to drill holes though.
