Basic DJ Setup

Post by Pottsy » Sun Mar 04, 2007 3:36 pm

Hey all,

I've been out of DJing for awhile, but recently thinking of getting back into it digitally, so I downloaded the Live 6 demo. Two questions: does the demo version have the lessons installed? When I click on lessons under the help tab, I get a message that they can't be found. Also, I found the tutorial for setting up Live 3 for DJing, and it sounds like at the very least, I'll need some sort of firewire audio device for cueing, is that correct? I'm running a MacBook Pro, so I don't have the option if installing a multi channel sound card. Any help answering these questions would be appreciated.

Thanks...

It doesn't have to be firewire. You just need any audio interface with multiple outputs so you can designate one for your headphones to cue.

There are many articles and books which go into Djing with live in detail.
