Do those look like mini or full-sized keys to you?

I can't tell either way.

Interesting. Wish it had 8 more buttons. I don't know, the more I think about it, the more it looks like another "me too" controller.

Why? AFAIK there is no other MIDI controller keyboard with included arpeggiator on the market.

Last time I looked 'Live' had it's own arp.

Still... looks pretty sweet, a bit like the Korg PadKontrol, but with sliders and pots. The sum of the best bits from all controllers I suppose.?

Yeah, but it's just an arp and Live has one anyway.

i think it will be better than MicroKontrol...this thing has got MPC 500 Pads...(microkontrol pads are more triggers/buttons than pads)...but i guess it will be overpriced, as lot of akai stuff lately..

I've been impressed with Akai's MPD-16, the pads on that were pretty good. But it was pricey for what it did.

Does anybody know if those pots are 360 degree rotaries or limited range knobs?

Blah blah, blah blah.

akai used to innovate, now they just emulate.

this is total bull shit.

Probably an alesis keybed.

I was hoping for a midi controller with 49 pads, or something original

49 pads, man. that'd be amazing. with a shitload of knobs and battery or something.

anyway, yeah, i'd probably be well built in terms of pads, have fucked up jittery encoders like the mpd 24 and cost 500 quid.

Yeah thats sorta why i clicked the link, then while i was looking at it, i was like, wow, i should put my new axiom 49 up for sale to buy this! Then the more cohesive part of my brain smacked me and made me realize this is nothing but something that has already been done before.

+1 for lives arp!

I can't front.

I have an axiom 49, that is pretty weak.

I might consider replacing the axiom with this.

Akai builds quality in terms of sturdiness.

They just don't release products like they used to.

MPC 3000 - classic
dr 16 - classic
ewi - classic
dps 24 -uber recorder.

mpc 1000, MPk not so much

just disappointed is all.

akai/alesis/numark = middle of the road these days.

not high end like akai pro used to be.
