I'm interested, considering the nature of the music thatmost people on this site are engaged with is electronic, are there many pixies fans out there?
I got a chance to see them recently, wow, amazing

i love the pixies and alot of other american alt/post rock bands
i agree with johnisfaster about the film loudquietloud, i have it!
its an awkward watch, feels a bit intrusive
but that aside ,the music is timeless
and im looking forward to more new material
anyone heard the new dinosaur jr album yet?
im curious about is as i never thought lou barlow would ever get back with
them???
hey maybe i will just buy it?

I still wear my Pixies t-shirt after all these years. I caught them on the reunion tour, air-guitared and cried the entire show.

Yep - they're in my cd-collection. I like the Bossanova album.
It has been years since I listened to them, though...

Love the Pixies. They have just been in Australia doing some gigs. Never thought they'd make it here and I'm ashamed to say that I never got tickets.
Some fan I turned out to be.
Have heard several tracks from new Dinosaur Jnr album, and I think they have done well. Always a worry when a great band reforms after a hiatus. Good to see J Mascis & Lou Barlow are able to work together again and still produce some great stuff in their older years.

I recently watched a video of the Pixies playing live in their hayday. They closed the set with the song Tame. All I can say is that, they realize for a fleeting moment-- the entirity of the bombastic potential that can be garnered from rock music.
In my mind and in my heart they are heroes.

I've loved the Pixes for since I first bought Surfer Rosa about 15 years ago! I think it was actually one of the first CD's I ever purchased! It came in the big, long cd box!
I actually have a hard time hearing them anymore. I still like them but have overplayed all of those songs that it's almost unlistenable to me.
That and Slint's Spiderland...
