or so the DJ newswire tells me...it seems they shifted peeps off the OS to the iPhone.

they will however "show" a new version in June apparently.

urgh. This is one good reasons why they shouldn't be putting out more different kinds of hardware...

I guess this means that Logic 8 will have to wait?

Oh the humanity of Apple.

Oh well.

That's fine with me. Tiger is pretty solid, save for a few AU validation and Max/MSP issues. I won't bother with Leopard until a few updates anyhow.

My money was on a release at this event:

WWDC

Looks like this is no rumour either.

Jobs does have a little bit of a habit of denying things right before Apple does them ie video iPods....

this kinda confirms a little more though-
iPhone contains the most sophisticated software ever shipped on a mobile device, and finishing it on time has not come without a price -- we had to borrow some key software engineering and QA resources from our Mac OS® X team, and as a result we will not be able to release Leopard at our Worldwide Developers Conference in early June as planned.

So I guess we'll be going to 10.4.9.x.

Ah well, no big deal I s'pose... Tiger's working fine.

Although... weren't the upcoming Adobe CS3 releases tied to Leopard functionality? That could be a problem!

It would be 10.4.10.

In fact I like that. A symmetry about it.

I wanted Leopard out and being beta tested in public so that I could jump on 10.5.2 around October. :) I guess that won't happen now.

I tell you what, for Apple's sake this iPhone better handn't tank.

No way iPhone will tank, it'll be huge I bet, larger than the iPod craze.

OT but if it doesn't ship with 3G (specifically HSDPA really) in Europe/Asia it faces a tough time.

i personally couldn't care less about leopard, except that delaying it probably means delaying the new version of Logic, which I'm really dying to see. October seems a long time away to see a Logic upgrade, maybe it it'll be released to work on tiger...mm no, probably not.

btw, eisnein

Your new "location" has an unfortunate effect on the forum layout. How about a space up in there?
