ok has anyone noticed that live doesn't like usb hubs?
Yeh +1 to what tone deft said, I'd like to know any duffers or beauties for mac. Any good/bad stories folks?
MacBook Pro Retina, Live 9.5, Reason, UC33, KRK RP5s, Teenage Engineering OP1, Korg ESX2, Korg Prophecy, Clavia Nord Lead, Bass, Guitars.
I just got a 7 port powered one that works like a treat can't remember the brand, some generic one. The only issues I have heard about are not the hubs themselves, but the cables that come with it. If the hub starts playing up, swap the cable first... as for latency, there is zilch... and I've got 3 midi controllers/mouse/keyboard and a usb2 hard drive plugged into it.Tone Deft wrote:Tim- Any latency issues with that? My lappie is all full up and I'd like to go the hub route just to tidy up a bit, any opinions on limitations of a hub?timothyallan wrote:nope, it loves my usb hub
For $30 I might as well try one. Any opinions on what NOT to get?
Edit: always plug the hub into the same usb port if yer on a pc or you'll always be asked to install the device drivers
I unpluged the power supply and it works fine.
