Been looking for the same thing myself. And theres nothing im afraid. For those with ppc theres Fingamidi though. And there´s no chance it will be a ub. Here´s what the developer says about it:
Having finally got round to investigating the possibility of updating FingaMIDI to accomodate the newer (USB trackpad) machines, I have decided that it is not feasible to continue with the project. Unfortunately, Apple do not publish source code for their USB trackpad driver as they did for earlier ADB versions. This means that continuing with FingaMIDI would necessarily involve developing and maintaining a clone of that driver, a bigger task than all the rest of the project put together and more duplication of effort than I'm willing to take on. Many thanks to all of you who provided feedback and encouragement over the last three and a bit years.

Midimouse doesnt have absolute tracking. Moving your mouse over a resizable window sends midi.

Completly useless.

Computer games don't effect kids... If Pacman affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music

you can use controlAid for this (it has a lot of goodies for this purpose), but it runs under Rosetta.

But this just tracks the mousepointer not the finger? Am I right?

Quartz Composer takes X/Y coordinate info from any input device and you can then connect it to a MIDI out module and send it into Live via the IAC bus. works awesome. i use it (Wacom too) for all sorts of shit.[/i]

Still, no sign of absolute tracking mode in this app either. It sends midi alright. But its based on the mousepointer.

That sounds great. I will have to look into that. Would you care to tell me more about how its done?. Does it work with the new macbook pros? Seems apple are changing the trackpad specs all the time now.
