I am wondering what program people are using to transfer their MP3s from an iPod to itunes in a new computer. I origianlly used my iPod with a PC but am now trying to transfer all its contents to my new Macbook. Any ideas?

Coolest mac one i have seen is iPodDisk. It turns your iPod into an iDisk. From there backup is just a drag and drop affair.

How to backup your iPod music on a PC without using additional software:

1. Open up My Computer
2. Click on Tools, Folder Options
3. Click the View tab.
4. Under Hidden Files And Folders, click Show Hidden Files and Folders.
5. Plug your iPod into your PC.
6. Open it up in My Computer.
7. All your songs will be in the Music folder (greyed out a bit). Save that wherever you wish! (encoded filenames in weird folders)

Then you can figure out a way to copy that folder to your Mac. Finally, drag the folder into your iTunes window, and it will create a library and rename all the encoded files.

Presto.

I used to use Anapod/CopyGear on Windows. It's available for Mac now too, but I doubt it's much different from the freeware mentioned above http://www.redchairsoftware.com/anapod/copygear-mac.php
