Can someone explain the -- Automatic Handling of Monitoring'

its listed as a new feature but I'm not sure what it means and what makes it different from the other version that didn't have it.

well it's supposed to be a feature, it turns monitoring on (when arming record) and off ...but it makes it complex if sometimes you want to monitor through live, and sometimes not.

Auto-Monitoring means that whenever a track's arm button is pressed, you'll hear the input. Except if a clip is playing, then you'll hear the playback.

95% of the time this does exactly what you want in recording situations. The problem is, for the other 5% cases you can't switch it off. This can be annoying if your preferred use of Live is always within these 5% (which is the case for SongCarver and others).

Therefore it's on our todo list to include an option to switch it off if users want to monitor manually.
